Bio

Director of Athletics Brent Baird has been part of the Penn State Altoona community since 1995, when he was a member of the Admissions office. He transitioned to Athletics in 1998 and assisted in the program’s move to the NCAA Division III level. In 2001, he was named the Sports Information Director, and in 2007 he added the role of Compliance Officer to his job.

In 2007, Baird became the Assistant Director of Athletics. He was recognized for his work in 2012, when he received the Emerging Athletic Administrator award from the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators. Baird was named the Director of Athletics in 2015.
