Bio

Conner Gilbert is the Director of Athletics Communication at Penn State Altoona. He handles sports communication for the Athletics department’s NCAA Division III varsity teams, including website content, statistics, media relations, social media, and multimedia production.

Gilbert is a 2009 graduate of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. During his time in college, he was a four-year sports information assistant and was the Web Reporter for Pittsburgh Steelers training camp for two years.

Gilbert is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM). In May 2019, he received the Ted J. Long Staff Excellence Award at Penn State Altoona.

Gilbert is also an active singer-songwriter and guitarist. Some of his original music is available digitally on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music, and he continues to play live on a regular basis. He resides in Hollidaysburg, Pa.
