Location, Time Changed for Friday Baseball Doubleheader

ALTOONA, Pa. -- A pair of schedule changes have been made to the Penn State Altoona baseball team's doubleheader against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Bradford, which will happen on Friday, May 4.

Due to the expectation of poor weather conditions in Bradford, the teams have agreed to move the location of the doubleheader to Calandra-Smith Field at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson. Additionally, the doubleheader will start one hour earlier than originally scheduled, with game one's first pitch now planned for 12:00 p.m. Pitt-Bradford will remain the de facto home team for both games despite the location change to a neutral site.

Additionally, Penn State Altoona baseball will hold a Senior Day ceremony prior to game one to recognize its two senior players on their careers with the Lions.

Friday's doubleheader, which is the final twinbill of the conference's regular season schedule, holds large playoff implications for both teams. Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Altoona are both 9-7 in the AMCC, and a sweep by either team would likely lock up home field advantage in the first round of the conference tournament.
