KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A pair of Penn State Altoona men's basketball players were recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for their academic achievements this past season, as the organization announced its 2018-19 Honors Court on Wednesday.

Lions guards Austin Krise (Allport, PA/West Branch) and Trey Butterworth (Clarence, PA/Bald Eagle), each a rising senior, were both named to the Honors Court for their academics during their junior years.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that men's college basketball players possess off the court, as well as the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. To be named to the Honors Court, players must be a junior or senior varsity player, possess a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year, have spent at least one year at their current institutions, and be a member of an NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA Division I or II institution with an NABC member coach.
