Lions Golf Program Releases 2018 Schedule

ALTOONA, Pa. – On Thursday, the Penn State Altoona golf team announced its 2018 fall schedule.

The Lions' fall slate is comprised of eight competitions, including the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships.

Penn State Altoona begins its 2018 season on Saturday, September 1 when it travels to Pine Acres Country Club in Bradford, Pa. for the Pitt-Bradford Invitational. Next, the Lions venture to The Country Club of Meadville for the two-day Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College, on Sunday, September 9 and Monday, September 10.

The program hosts its annual home date, the Penn State Altoona Invitational, on Saturday, September 15 at Sinking Valley Country Club. The next day, Sunday, September 16, the Lions travel to Cresson, Pa. for the Mount Aloysius College Invitational. Penn State Altoona ends the month in the Lycoming College Invitational, hosted at Williamsport Country Club on Monday, September 24.

The Lions open October at the Penn State Behrend Invitational on Monday, October 1 at Lawrence Park Golf Club in Erie, Pa. On Wednesday, October 3, the team heads to Abbottstown, Pa. to compete in the Gettysburg College Invitational, held at Hanover Country Club.

On Sunday, October 7 and Monday, October 8, Penn State Altoona will seek its sixth conference title when it golfs in the AMCC Championships, which will be held at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club in Warren, Ohio.
