Men’s Golf Announces 2019 Schedule

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's golf team released its 2019 schedule on Thursday.

The Lions will compete in seven events this fall, spanning a total of 10 dates and culminating in the season-ending Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships.

Penn State Altoona men's golf starts its season on the road on Sunday, September 8 and Monday, September 9, competing in the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College at the Country Club of Meadville. After that, the Lions will play in the Grove City College Fall Invitational on Thursday, September 12 at Grove City Country Club.

The Lions will host their annual home event on Saturday, September 21, as the Penn State Altoona Invitational will get underway at 12:00 p.m. at Sinking Valley Country Club. That event makes up the first half of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic, a two-day invitational that includes the Mount Aloysius College Invitational on Sunday, September 22 at Summit Country Club.

Penn State Altoona finishes its opening month on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 in the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic, hosted by McDaniel College at The Bridges Golf Club.

Men's golf starts the next month on Saturday, October 5, when the squad will play in the Shenandoah University Invitational at Winchester Country Club. From there, the Lions will look for a conference title when they compete in the AMCC Championships at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club on Sunday, October 13 and Monday, October 14.
