Men’s Soccer Shut Out by Medaille

ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's soccer lost 10-0 to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Medaille College on Saturday afternoon at Spring Run Stadium.

Medaille (11-4, 6-1 AMCC) scored just 42 seconds into the opening half and never looked back. The Mavericks built a 3-0 lead by halftime, then proceeded to score seven second half goals. Medaille's Lachlan Wilkinson and Mitchell Ali each recorded a hat trick.

Tanner Yaw (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) made a season-high 12 saves between the pipes for Penn State Altoona (3-11, 2-4 AMCC).

Medaille led the Lions in total shots attempted (31-8) and shots on goal (23-3), while corner kicks were tied 4-4.

Penn State Altoona men's soccer returns to action on Wednesday, October 18 for a road game at AMCC opponent Franciscan University. That contest starts at 2:00 p.m.
