CRESSON, Pa. – Penn State Altoona men's soccer was handed a 4-1 loss by their nearby Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference rivals, Mount Aloysius College, on Tuesday evening at the Walker Athletic Complex.

Jinkwon Song (Uiwang, Korea/McLean) scored his fourth goal of the season for Penn State Altoona (5-10-1, 3-4 AMCC). Tanner Yaw (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) made eight saves in goal for the Lions.

Mount Aloysius (11-4, 5-1 AMCC) scored early in the first half, when Pau Aran's goal put the home team on the board at the 5:59 mark.

Song tied the score 1-1 at 32:08, scoring an unassisted goal for Penn State Altoona.

But the Mounties jumped back on top with just 20 seconds remaining in the first half, as Joshua Christie's unassisted tally at 44:40 gave Mount Aloysius a 2-1 advantage.

The Mounties added two more goals in the second half. Ryan Peddle made it 3-1 at 75:26, and Joshua Devlin scored on a free kick at 81:06 to increase his team's lead to 4-1.

Mount Aloysius finished the night with statistical advantages over Penn State Altoona in shots attempted (19-9), shots on goal (12-5), and corner kicks (9-4).

Next up, the Lions will host their final home game of the regular season this Saturday, October 19, when Penn State Altoona welcomes AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford to campus for a 1:00 p.m. game. That contest will be Senior Day for the Lions.
