HAMBURG, N.Y. – Penn State Altoona men's soccer closed out its regular season schedule with a 6-0 whitewash of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Hilbert College on Saturday afternoon at Hawk Field.

Brant Aughenbaugh (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove) recorded his first career hat trick to help lead the Lions (6-12-1, 4-6 AMCC) to victory, while Jon Kadoch (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven), Jinkwon Song (Uiwang, Korea/McLean), and Dakota Casey (Norwalk, CT/Canterbury) also scored one goal each for Penn State Altoona. Song also finished with two assists.

As a team, Penn State Altoona totaled 43 shot attempts, the third-most shots attempted in a game in Lions soccer history. Kadoch led the way with nine shots attempted, including six shots on goal. Aughenbaugh had eight shots, putting seven of them on goal.

Between the pipes, Tanner Yaw (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) played 61:59 to record his sixth win of the season for Penn State Altoona. Francisco Guerra (Perry Hall, MD/Calvert Hall) made his first appearance in goal this season, logging 18:37. Max Pedone (Seaford, NY/Seaford) finished things off by playing the final 9:24 in goal and making one save.

Penn State Altoona built a 2-0 lead in the first half, thanks to Aughenbaugh goals at 10:44 and 17:34, both assisted by Song.

The Lions added four more goals to their total during the second half.

Song scored an unassisted goal at 55:49, and Aughenbaugh clinched the hat trick with an unassisted goal of his own at the 67:08 mark.

Kadoch increased the Lions' advantage to 5-0 at 69:00 on an assist from Ali Al-Hashmi (Sharjah, UAE/Applied Technology), and Casey capped the scoring with his tally at the 83:05 mark, with the assist going to Evan Cardoza (Altoona, PA/Altoona).

Penn State Altoona built big statistical advantages over Hilbert (0-12-1, 0-9 AMCC) in shots attempted (43-9), shots on goal (28-1), and corner kicks (9-3).

Now, Penn State Altoona will hope for help to solidify a spot in the upcoming AMCC Tournament. A potential seed in the playoffs will depend on other results around the conference in other teams' final games of the regular season.
