Men’s Swimming Finishes Spring at Alfred State

ALFRED, N.Y. – The Penn State Altoona men's swimming team competed in its second and final meet of the spring on Thursday afternoon, when it took on Alfred State College in a dual meet at the Orvis Pool.

The Lions notched four first place finishes in the meet, including three individual first places by Isaac Swanson (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield).

Swanson took first in the opening event of the men's meet, the 200 Yard Freestyle, by clocking in at 1:44.23. He later won the 100 Yard Backstroke in 52.56, and he recorded the trifecta by taking first in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 47.45.

Noah Jordan (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) picked up the Lions' other first place finish, winning the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:21.35.

Jordan also recorded a runner-up finish in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, finishing in 1:01.70. HaoYing Hsieh (Allison Park, PA/North Allegheny) also had a second place finish, coming in second during the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:33.69.
