Men’s Tennis Swept 9-0 by Juniata

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team's spring season home opener was spoiled on Sunday afternoon, as the Lions fell 9-0 to non-conference opponent Juniata College at The Summit Tennis & Athletic Club.

Juniata (1-0) jumped out to the early 3-0 lead, sweeping the doubles matches by scores of 8-5, 8-3, and 8-3. The Eagles proceeded to blank Penn State Altoona (0-4) in singles play, winning all six matches.

Penn State Altoona's five-match homestand will continue next weekend, when the Lions will host a pair of Presidents' Athletic Conference opponents in back-to-back days at the Gorilla House Gym in Altoona. On Saturday, February 23, Penn State Altoona will face off against Geneva College at 4:00 p.m., and on Sunday, February 24, the Lions will play Bethany College at 1:00 p.m.
