Arentz Selected NEAC Defensive Player of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - For the third time this season, Penn State Altoona sophomore opposite hitter Brandon Arentz (Mount Wolf, PA/Northeastern) was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, when the league announced its weekly awards on Tuesday.

Arentz posted another strong stat line in the Lions' 3-2 loss at Penn State Behrend this past Saturday afternoon. The sophomore recorded a team-high 17 digs and had one solo block, and he also contributed 11 kills while totaling 12 points.

In 18 matches this season, Arentz leads the NEAC with 155 digs, is third in the conference with nine solo blocks, and ranks fifth in the league with a 2.46 digs per set average.

Penn State Altoona men's volleyball returns to the court on Monday, March 12 when the team hosts NEAC opponent Wilson College in the Adler Arena for a 7:00 p.m. match.
