Men's Volleyball Set to Host Medaille in First Round Playoff Match

ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona men's volleyball starts the defense of its North Eastern Athletic Conference title tomorrow evening, Tuesday, April 10, when the Lions will host Medaille College in the first round of the NEAC Tournament.

The start time for the match is 5:00 p.m. in Penn State Altoona's Adler Arena.

Penn State Altoona (15-12, 5-3 NEAC), the reigning NEAC champions, finished in fourth place in the conference standings at the end of the 2018 regular season. The fourth-seeded Lions host fifth seed Medaille (7-21, 3-5 NEAC) in the first round tournament match on Tuesday.

In the teams' lone matchup during the season, which occurred in Altoona on Sunday, March 25, Penn State Altoona swept Medaille 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-21).

The winner of Tuesday's match will advance to the NEAC final four this weekend, with all of the matches being hosted at top-seeded Lancaster Bible College. The semifinal round of the tournament is Saturday, April 14 with start times of 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., and the conference championship match is Sunday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m.
