Winter Weather Forces Saturday Softball Postponement

ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona softball's home doubleheader against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent D'Youville College, scheduled to occur this Saturday, April 7, has been postponed due to cold temperatures and the possibility of a winter storm.

Saturday's forecast calls for wind chills that would not meet the AMCC temperature requirement to play softball games. Additionally, there is the possibility for a significant accumulation of snow from an approaching winter storm.

The conference doubleheader has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 22 at Stewart Athletic Field. The games will begin at 1:00 p.m.

With Saturday's games postponed, the Lady Lions' next scheduled doubleheader is next Wednesday, April 11, when the team will travel to face AMCC opponent Pitt-Greensburg. Game one is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. that afternoon.
