ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's basketball team has announced its 2018-19 season schedule.

The Lady Lions' 25-game schedule features 12 home contests. In addition to the team's total of 18 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference games, Penn State Altoona will face seven non-conference opponents.

Penn State Altoona's 2018-19 schedule tips off on Thursday, November 15, when it hosts non-conference opponent Geneva College for a 7:00 p.m. game in the Adler Arena. On Saturday, November 17, the Lady Lions travel to Winchester, Va. play non-conference foe Shenandoah University at 2:00 p.m. The squad returns home on Monday, November 26 to face Division II opponent Lock Haven University for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff. Penn State Altoona wraps up the opening month of the season on Wednesday, November 28 with its first AMCC game of the season, hosting nearby conference rival Mount Aloysius College at 6:00 p.m.

December holds seven games for the Lady Lions, including four straight AMCC matchups to start the month. On Saturday, December 1, Penn State Altoona heads to Pittsburgh to play La Roche College at 1:00 p.m. before returning home to host Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday, December 5 at 5:00 p.m. The Lady Lions hit the road to Erie on Saturday, December 8 to play Penn State Behrend at 6:00 p.m., and the team's stretch of conference games finishes on Sunday, December 16 when it hosts Medaille College at 1:00 p.m. After that, Penn State Altoona will compete in the Hoops for Hope Tournament at Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday, December 28 and Saturday, December 29. The Lady Lions will finish the calendar year with a special New Year's Eve home game against non-conference foe Chatham University at 1:00 p.m.

Penn State Altoona starts 2019 with a busy January, competing in nine games – all of which are versus AMCC teams. The Lady Lions hold four home games in January, hosting Franciscan University (Thursday, January 3 at 6:00 p.m.), Pitt-Greensburg (Wednesday, January 9 at 6:00 p.m.), Hilbert College (Saturday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m.), and Penn State Behrend (Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m.). Meanwhile, Penn State Altoona has five road matchups during the month, traveling to play D'Youville College (Saturday, January 5 at 1:00 p.m.), Franciscan (Wednesday, January 16 at 6:00 p.m.), Medaille (Saturday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m.), Mount Aloysius (Wednesday, January 23 at 6:00 p.m.), and Pitt-Greensburg (Wednesday, January 30 at 6:00 p.m.).

The Lady Lions' regular season ends with five games in February. The team starts the month on the road to face AMCC opponent Hilbert (Saturday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m.) before traveling to take on non-conference foe Frostburg State University (Monday, February 4 at 6:00 p.m.). After that, Penn State Altoona hosts conference opponent D'Youville on Saturday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. On Wednesday, February 13, the team has its final regular season away game when it hits the road to play Pitt-Bradford at 5:00 p.m. Penn State Altoona's last date of the regular season is Saturday, February 16 when it hosts La Roche at 1:00 p.m.
