Women's Bowling Finishes Sixth in AMCC Round Robin Weekend

ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's bowling ended the first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Round Robin weekend of the season in sixth place, after Sunday's action at Holiday Bowl.

The Lady Lions posted a 2-5 record in seven matches over the span of Saturday and Sunday. The team recorded a total pinfall of 3,936 on the weekend.

Mount Aloysius College placed first, going 7-0 and dropping 6,058 pins. Medaille College was the runner-up with a 6-1 record and a pinfall of 6,065.

In its first match of the day, Penn State Altoona lost 759-621 to New Jersey City University. After that, the Lady Lions fell 951-480 to Mount Aloysius. Penn State Altoona tallied 583 pins in a win over Thiel College.

Nicole Watt (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) led the Lady Lions on the day in pins per frame, averaging 8.78. Rylee Duck (Mifflintown, PA/Juniata) averaged 6.78 pins per frame, and Claudia Ochoa (Fairfax, VA/Robinson Secondary) dropped 6.68 pins per frame.

Next up for Penn State Altoona women's bowling, the team will compete in the Wilmington University Wildcat Invitational on December 1-3.
