Lady Lions Bowling in 12th Place After Two Days in Wildcat Invitational

NEW CASTLE, Del. - After the second day of the three-day Wilmington University DII-DIII Wildcat Invitational at Bowlerama, the Penn State Altoona women's bowling team is in 12th place.

After Friday's baker matches, Saturday featured five matches in the traditional team format. Penn State Altoona went 0-5 while dropping a total of 2,805 pins on the day, and the Lady Lions' total of 5,600 pins through the first two days of competition puts them in 12th place out of 12 teams.

Adelphi University is currently in first place, going 5-0 on Saturday and dropping 4,473 pins to post a combined two-day pinfall of 8,940. Kutztown University is in second place with 8,923 pins, and Chestnut Hill College is third with 8,781.

Nicole Watt (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) led Penn State Altoona in Saturday's traditional matches, dropping a team-high 761 pins. Her team-best average of 152.2 ranked 31st out of 77 individual bowlers on the day, and Watt also posted a high score of 169. Rylee Duck (Mifflintown, PA/Juniata) dropped 637 pins, placing 45th with an average of 127.4 per game. Duck's high game was 164.

The third and final day of the Wildcat Invitational begins tomorrow, Sunday, December 3 at 9:45 a.m. The teams will compete in a total of three baker matches each, with the matchups set in a seeded bracket format.
