Lady Lions Bowling Competes in Day Two of Wilmington Invite

NEW CASTLE, Del. – Penn State Altoona women's bowling went 0-5 in day two of the Wilmington University Wildcat DII-DIII Invitational at Bowlerama.

Day two's action consisted of five traditional team matches.

The Lady Lions' first match of the day was a 798-589 loss to new Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Saint Vincent College. Next, Penn State Altoona fell 749-645 to Bloomfield College before a 771-619 loss to Kutztown University. The Lady Lions wrapped up their day with a 935-554 loss to Long Island University-Post and an 867-622 loss to Molloy College.

Amanda Ickes (Altoona, PA/Altoona) led Penn State Altoona in total pinfall and average, dropping a team-high 761 pins on the day for an average of 152.2 per game. Nicole Watt (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) finished close behind, dropping 755 pins for a 151.0 per game average. Watt also had her team's two best scores of the day, bowling 170 against St. Vincent and 168 against Bloomfield. Allyson Givler (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) posted a total pinfall of 582 for a 116.4 average.

Lucia Perez (Altoona, PA/CCS) dropped 400 pins in four games, Eden Taddei (Duncansville, PA/Hollidaysburg) posted a 300 total pinfall in three games, and Sierra Snigier (Seaford, DE/Seaford) dropped 231 pins in three games.

Penn State Altoona women's bowling will wrap up its weekend in the Wilmington Invitational tomorrow, Sunday, December 2, when the Lady Lions will compete in the third and final day of the three-day invitational. The day three format will be a trio of best-of-seven baker matches beginning at 9:45 a.m.
