KENMORE, N.Y. – At the conclusion of the two-day Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Round Robin #1 on Sunday, the Penn State Altoona women's bowling team was in sixth place with a combined pinfall of 4,978.

As with Saturday's competition, Sunday's matches were played in the five-game baker format decided by total pins. The Lady Lions faced the remaining two teams in the AMCC, Mount Aloysius College and Pitt-Bradford, on Sunday. Penn State Altoona lost 922-605 to the Lady Mounties, and they also fell 919-738 to the Lady Panthers.

After Sunday's losses, Penn State Altoona now carries a 1-5 record in the AMCC.

By the end of the weekend's matches, Medaille College was in first place after dropping 6,876 and posting a 6-0 record. Saint Vincent College was in second place with 6,372 pins and a 5-1 record, and Mount Aloysius was third with 6,312 pins and a 4-2 mark.

Next up, the Penn State Altoona women's bowling team will venture back outside of AMCC play on Sunday, February 17, when the Lady Lions will compete in the Br. Patrick Lacey Memorial Tournament. The event is hosted by St. Vincent at Hillview Lanes in Greensburg, with the first matches expected to start at 11:00 a.m.

After that, Penn State Altoona will go back into conference competition for the second regular season AMCC event. That event, the AMCC Round Robin #2, will take place on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3.
