Women’s Bowling Announces 2021-22 Schedule

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's bowling program released its 2021-22 schedule on Monday.

The Lions are scheduled to compete in six events during the regular season, spanning 11 total dates of competition and including two Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference round robins.

Penn State Altoona opens its season on Saturday, November 13, competing in the Unicorn Invitational hosted by La Roche University. After that, the Lions get into conference play on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21, playing in the first AMCC round robin of the regular season, hosted by Saint Vincent College.

After a layoff, the Lions' schedule resumes in January, when the team will compete in the annual Saint Francis University Red Flash Invitational. The event is held at Holiday Bowl in Altoona and lasts from Friday, January 28 through Sunday, January 30.

Penn State Altoona gets back into conference competition to start February, taking part in the second and final AMCC round robin of the regular season, hosted by Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, February 5 and Sunday, February 6. The Lions follow that by playing in the Brother Pat Lacey Memorial Tournament, hosted by St. Vincent on Sunday, February 13.

Penn State Altoona wraps up its regular season in the Mid State Mountie Classic, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 and hosted by Mount Aloysius College at the F.A. Gerhart Lanes in Altoona.

Should Penn State Altoona women's bowling qualify for the conference postseason tournament, the AMCC Championships will take place on Friday, March 25 through Sunday, March 27 at Sims Lanes in Beaver Falls.
