Pupillo Places 14th at PSA Women’s Invitational

ALTOONA, Pa. – Golfing in her first collegiate event on Saturday afternoon, Penn State Altoona women's golf freshman Katie Pupillo (Skippack, PA/Perkiomen Valley) placed 14th in the Penn State Altoona Women's Invitational at Sinking Valley Country Club.

Pupillo finished her day with a score of 102 to come in 14th place out of 20 individual women's golfers competing in the event. Emily Conrad of Shenandoah University came in first place individually with a score of 85, while Susquehanna University's Samantha Thompson and Ella Moones, along with Shenandoah's McKenzie Slattery, tied for runner-up status with 87.

Among the three complete women's teams competing in the event, Shenandoah placed first with a score of 354, followed by Susquehanna with 371 and Juniata College with 433.

Penn State Altoona's women's golfers will see more action tomorrow, Sunday, September 16, when they will compete in the Mount Aloysius College Invitational starting at 12:00 p.m. at Summit Country Club.
