Women's Swim Team Loses at Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. - Penn State Altoona's women's swimming team suffered a loss in Friday evening's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference meet at Cabrini University, as the Lady Lions were downed 129-68.

The women's team recorded four first place finishes in individual events.

Emily Booz (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) earned two of her team's first places. She won the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:09.68, and she later triumphed in the 100 Yard Backstroke when she clocked in at 1:06.98.

Danielle Bye (Hockessin, DE/Cab Calloway School of the Arts) placed first in the 100 Yard Butterfly, touching the pad at 1:06.22. Hannah Kimmick (Youngwood, PA/Hempfield) came in first in the 500 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 6:12.71.

The Penn State Altoona women's swimming team returns to action next Friday, December 8, when it travels for a non-conference meet at Wilkes University. The start time for that meet is set for 7:00 p.m.
