Women's Tennis Swept 9-0 by Clarion

ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's tennis suffered a 9-0 loss at the hands of Division II Clarion University on Thursday afternoon at Altoona Area High School's Leopold Tennis Courts.

Playing in its first team match of the season, Clarion (1-0) posted wins in each of the three doubles matches to start the day. The Eagles went on to make quick work of Penn State Altoona (2-4) in singles play.

Lady Lions tennis returns to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play this weekend with back-to-back home matches against league opponents. On Saturday, September 23, Penn State Altoona hosts Pitt-Bradford at 1:00 p.m. The next day, Sunday, September 24, the Lady Lions take on Pitt-Greensburg at 1:00 p.m. Both matches are scheduled to be held at the Leopold Courts.
