Women's Volleyball Earns 3-0 Road Sweep of Medaille

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona women's volleyball picked up its sixth Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Medaille College 3-0 at the Sullivan Center.

Penn State Altoona (11-11, 6-2 AMCC) swept the match by scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-23.

Lauren Diller (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) led the Lady Lions in kills with 13 while adding 14 digs and two solo blocks. Josie Stovall (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) added nine kills and three block assists, and Velanna Skripek (Moshannon, PA/Bald Eagle) finished with five kills.

Lauren Moran (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) led the team with 24 set assists and five service aces, and she also chipped in six digs. Nicole Kiser (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) had a team-high 16 digs, and Kaitlin Cassaday (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) totaled 10 digs and two block assists.

Next up, Penn State Altoona women's volleyball travels to face non-conference opponent Penn College on Monday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m.
