Women's Volleyball Downed 3-1 by York

LANCASTER, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's volleyball dropped its first match of this weekend's Franklin & Marshall College Scramble, falling 3-1 to York College at the Mayser Center on Friday night.

The Lady Lions (2-4) lost the match 25-20, 21-25, 25-14, 25-20.

Josie Stovall (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) led Penn State Altoona in kills with 10, while Kelsey Bristol (Troy, PA/Troy) had seven kills, three aces, and a team-high 10 digs. Casey Lee (Ebensburg, PA/Penn Cambria) had two solo blocks and one block assist.

Lauren Moran (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) put up 24 assists while adding five digs, one solo block, and two block assists. Emily Bryan (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) contributed eight digs and three aces.

Penn State Altoona women's volleyball plays two more matches in the Franklin & Marshall Scramble tomorrow, Saturday, September 9. At 11:00 a.m., the Lady Lions face host school Franklin & Marshall before playing Lebanon Valley College at 2:30 p.m.
