Women's Volleyball Swept 3-0 at Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's volleyball dropped Wednesday night's non-conference match at Penn State Harrisburg by a score of 3-0.

Harrisburg (6-4) prevailed in straight sets, taking the match 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.

Kelsey Bristol (Troy, PA/Troy) tied for the match-high in kills with seven for Penn State Altoona (2-8), and she also led all players on the night with three service aces. Velanna Skripek (Moshannon, PA/Bald Eagle) added four kills and four digs.

Lauren Moran (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) had a team-high 11 set assists to go along with nine digs.

Geordan Hay (Berlin, PA/Berlin Brothersvalley) led Penn State Altoona with 12 digs. Lauren Diller (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) finished with 11 digs, and Emily Bryan (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) totaled six digs.

Penn State Altoona women's volleyball begins its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference schedule on Saturday, September 23 with a pair of league matches hosted at D'Youville College. The Lady Lions start the day against Pitt-Bradford at 1:00 p.m., then they face D'Youville at 3:30 p.m.
