Lady Lions Suffer 3-0 Loss at Pitt-Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's volleyball was swept 3-0 at Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday evening in Chambers Hall.

Pitt-Greensburg (4-19, 2-5 AMCC) won in three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 25-17.

Lauren Diller (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) led Penn State Altoona (9-11, 5-2 AMCC) in kills with eight and also added eight digs and one block assist. Josie Stovall (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) had six kills and one block assist, and Velanna Skripek (Moshannon, PA/Bald Eagle) contributed five kills and one block assist.

Emily Bryan (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) had a team-high nine set assists to go along with seven digs and one block assist. Lauren Moran (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) finished with five assists and six digs.

Nicole Kiser (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) led Penn State Altoona in digs with nine. Tara Ryan (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick) had a team-best two block assists.

Next up, Lady Lions volleyball returns home this Thursday, October 19 to host non-conference opponent Lycoming College at 7:00 p.m. in the Adler Arena. That match is the team's Pink Out event, where fans are encouraged to wear pink and donate to the American Cancer Society in support of Penn State Altoona women's volleyball's push to aid the fight against breast cancer.
