Lady Lions Drop Non-Conference Match 3-0 at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's volleyball came out on the losing end of Thursday night's non-conference match, falling 3-0 to Susquehanna University at the OW Houts Gymnasium.

Susquehanna (20-10) swept the match by scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-14.

Lauren Diller (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) led Penn State Altoona (12-12) in kills with eight and also contributed five digs. Josie Stovall (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) had five kills and one block assist. Velanna Skripek (Moshannon, PA/Bald Eagle) finished with four kills and three digs. 

Kaitlin Cassaday (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) had a team-high eight digs to go along with three kills and one block assist. Tara Ryan (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick) also had three kills. Lauren Moran (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) put up a team-best 17 set assists, and she also totaled four digs and two kills.

Lady Lions volleyball returns to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play this Saturday, October 28, when they host Hilbert College for a 1:00 p.m. match in the Adler Arena. That match is the teams' final regular season contest, with the conference tournament looming soon after.
