Women’s Volleyball Swept 3-0 at Frostburg

FROSTBURG, Md. – Penn State Altoona women's volleyball was defeated 3-0 on Wednesday evening at non-conference opponent Frostburg State University.

The Lady Lions (1-5) in three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-6, and 25-12.

Kaitlin Cassaday (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) had a team-high six kills for Penn State Altoona and a team-best .200 attack percentage, and she also totaled eight digs. Kelsey Bristol (Troy, PA/Troy) had five kills, one solo block, and a team-high 14 digs.

Lauren Moran (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) posted a team-best 12 assists to go along with eight digs, and Emily Bryan (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) chipped in three assists, seven digs, and a team-high two solo blocks. Nicole Kiser (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) recorded five digs.

Penn State Altoona women's volleyball returns to action this Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8 in the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen Quad.
