Men’s Golf Set for Pair of Spring Dates

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's golf team is preparing to compete at two dates during its spring season, as the Lions look forward to a pair of non-conference events on the road in April.

The Lions get their spring competition season underway this upcoming Monday, April 15, when the team will travel to New Castle Country Club in New Castle, Pa. to play in the Westminster College Spring Invitational. Play is expected to start at 12:00 p.m. that day.

Penn State Altoona's second and final date of the spring is Tuesday, April 23, when the Lions head to Elmira Country Club in Elmira, N.Y. to compete in the Elmira College Spring Invitational. Tee times are currently set for 11:00 a.m. for that event.

The men's golf team finished its fall schedule, its traditional season of competition, by placing fourth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships. The Lions shot 318 in day one, then scored 323 in day two to compile a combined total of 641 strokes.
