ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's tennis program released its 2019-20 schedule on Wednesday morning.

Like last season, the Lions will feature several matches in the fall before resuming the main portion of their schedule in the spring semester. In total, Penn State Altoona is slated to play 15 matches, including eight home matches and six against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents.

Penn State Altoona will start its 2019-20 schedule with four matches in September and October against AMCC teams. On Saturday, September 14, the Lions will host nearby conference opponent Mount Aloysius College at 11:00 a.m. Penn State Altoona plays another home match on Friday, September 20 against AMCC foe Penn State Behrend at 4:30 p.m.

The Lions hit the road for the first time on Saturday, October 5, when they travel to play AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford in a 1:00 p.m. match. Penn State Altoona's final match of the fall semester is Sunday, October 6, when the Lions will host Pitt-Greensburg at 12:00 p.m.

After breaking for winter, the Penn State Altoona men's tennis team picks up its schedule in February. On Thursday, February 27, the Lions will face Juniata College in a home match at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, February 29, the team travels to play Washington & Jefferson College at 5:00 p.m.

The Lions' schedule continues with five matches in March. On Sunday, March 1, Penn State Altoona hosts Westminster College for a 1:00 p.m. tilt. The Lions embark on a weekend road trip on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, when the squad travels to play Lycoming College and Susquehanna University in a pair of 1:00 p.m. matches. Penn State Altoona returns home on Friday, March 27 to play Grove City College at 4:30 p.m., then the Lions end their March schedule on Saturday, March 28 on the road at Geneva College in a 3:00 p.m. match.

Penn State Altoona wraps up its regular season with four matches in April, including back-to-back AMCC matches during the month's first weekend. On Friday, April 3, the Lions host defending conference champion Franciscan University in a 4:30 p.m. match. The next day, Saturday, April 4, Penn State Altoona plays AMCC opponent Medaille College at home at 2:00 p.m.

The Lions end their regular season with back-to-back road matches, traveling to play Waynesburg University on Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. and Frostburg State University on Sunday, April 19 at 3:00 p.m.

Weather permitting, all of Penn State Altoona's home matches will be played at the Adler Tennis Courts on campus. The locations of matches moved indoors due to cold temperatures or inclement weather will be announced on a match-by-match basis.
