Despite competitive play in both matches, Penn State Altoona (10-4) suffered two losses. York overcame a deficit to pull out a 4-3 win over the Lions in their first match of the day, and Lebanon Valley handed Penn State Altoona a 6-1 loss in the second match.
Match One: York 4, Penn State Altoona 3
The Lions opened their day in York, where the Spartans (8-2) edged Penn State Altoona 4-3 at the Wisehaven Tennis Center. The match was tightly contested, as all three doubles matches and three out of six singles matches went to tiebreakers.
The Lions secured the opening point of the match by winning two out of three in doubles.
