LODI, N.J. – The Penn State Altoona women's bowling team's 2018-19 season came to an end on Sunday, day two of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Round Robin #2 at Lodi Lanes.

Penn State Altoona finished the second and final AMCC regular season event in sixth place this weekend, posting a total pinfall of 4,666 in the team's total of seven traditional matches on Saturday and Sunday. The Lady Lions' regular season finish does not qualify the team for the conference championship later this month.

"I'm sad to see our season end, but I know that our returners for next year have learned a lot from our senior leadership," said Penn State Altoona head coach John Carey.

Mount Aloysius College won the weekend, placing first with 6,071 pins and a 6-1 head-to-head record. Medaille College was the runner-up, coming in second with a 6-1 record and 5,973 pins.

Penn State Altoona went 1-2 in its three traditional matches on Sunday. The Lady Lions fell 913-668 to Medaille in their first match of the day before bouncing back to defeat New Jersey City University 716-682 in the second match. Penn State Altoona lost 809-681 to Saint Vincent College in the day's final match.

"It was nice to send our seniors out with a victory today. They will be missed dearly, especially Nikki Watt, who was a great contributor all four years. It's going to be tough to replace her as an anchor," said Carey. "Also, senior Nicole Kiser will be missed. She did an amazing job in just one season. Thank you to Nikki and Nicole."
