Women’s Swimming Defeated at Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Penn State Altoona women's swimming was handed a 108-43 loss by non-conference opponent Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon at the Maggs Center Swimming Pool.

The Lady Lions earned a trio of first place finishes in individual events.

Emily Beam (Tyrone, PA/Tyrone) took first in the 200 SC Meter Butterfly, finishing in 3:00.00. Hannah Kimmick (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) followed that with a win in the 100 SC Meter Freestyle, posting a time of 1:11.91. Danielle Bye (Hockessin, DE/Cab Calloway School of the Arts) came next, prevailing in the 200 SC Meter Backstroke with a time of 2:41.22.

Kimmick also placed second in the 800 SC Meter Freestyle, finishing in 10:57.46.

Next up for the Lady Lions is a dual meet on the road against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Alfred State University on Saturday, November 17 at 1:00 p.m.
