Lady Lions Swimming Falls 128-65 in Regular Season Finale

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Altoona women's swimming wrapped up its 2018-19 regular season schedule on Saturday afternoon with a 128-65 loss to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend at the Junker Center Pool.

The Lady Lions finished with four first places from four different swimmers during the meet.

Emily Beam (Tyrone, PA/Tyrone) picked up Penn State Altoona's first win of the day, when she prevailed in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:43.63. Later, Hannah Kimmick (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) took first in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 6:03.21.

Kaitlin Heil (Pittsburgh, PA/CAPA) won the next women's event, the 100 Yard Butterfly, by clocking in at 1:22.90. Danielle Bye (Hockessin, DE/Cab Calloway School of the Arts) recorded her team's fourth first place in the 200 Yard IM, finishing in 2:26.85.

Now, the Penn State Altoona women's swimming team will prepare for the four-day AMCC Championships, which run from February 13-16 and will be hosted at Penn State Behrend.
