FROSTBURG, Md. – Penn State Altoona women's tennis ended its three-match losing streak on Wednesday night, when the Lady Lions posted a 4-3 win over Division II opponent Frostburg State University.

Penn State Altoona (2-5) started the match by winning two out of three doubles matches. In No. 1 doubles, the tandem of Annie Ruggles (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg)/Brayley Lewis (Roaring Spring, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) earned a 6-4 victory. In the No. 2 spot, Victoria Acker (Cresson, PA/Penn Cambria)/Sophia Girol (South Park, PA/South Park) teamed up to pull out a 7-6 (8-6) win, their team-leading third doubles victory together this season.
