ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona women's volleyball announced its 2018 schedule on Monday.

The Lady Lions' fall 2018 slate includes three different non-conference invitationals and five home matches to be played on campus in the Adler Arena.

Penn State Altoona opens its 2018 season in the Gettysburg College Battlefield Classic on Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1. The team will also take part in two other non-conference invitational events, as the Lady Lions will compete in the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen Quad on Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8 and the Lycoming College Tip-Off Classic on Friday, October 5.

Women's volleyball's first home match of the season is set to occur on Tuesday, September 4, when the Lady Lions will host non-conference foe Penn College for a 7:00 p.m. match. Other home matches for the team include a date against non-conference opponent Penn State Harrisburg (Tuesday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m.) and contests against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference schools La Roche College (Wednesday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m.), Franciscan University (Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m.), and Pitt-Bradford (Saturday, October 27 at 1:00 p.m.).

The Lady Lions' first AMCC matches of the season are on Saturday, September 22, when the team hits the road to play Penn State Behrend and Medaille College in Buffalo, N.Y. Rounding out the team's AMCC schedule are road matches against Mount Aloysius College (Tuesday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m.), D'Youville College and Hilbert College (Saturday, October 13 in Greensburg, Pa.), and Pitt-Greensburg (Wednesday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m.).
