Lions Set to Host Hilbert in AMCC Tournament Matchup

ALTOONA, Pa. -- For the second season in a row, the Penn State Altoona men's basketball team has qualified for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament and will be hosting a first round playoff game.

The Lions (17-8, 13-5 AMCC) finished the conference regular season schedule with the number four seed and will host fifth-seeded Hilbert College (17-8, 13-5 AMCC) for a first round AMCC Tournament game on Wednesday, February 21. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Penn State Altoona and Hilbert split their regular season meetings. The Hawks won their home game against the Lions on December 2, pulling out a 74-71 victory. Penn State Altoona got its revenge on January 20, defeating Hilbert 95-89 in the Adler Arena.

Wednesday night's game marks the second season in a row that Penn State Altoona has hosted Hilbert for an AMCC Tournament first round game. Last February 22, the Lions pulled out a thrilling 80-79 win over the Hawks in the old Adler Gymnasium.

Fans attending this Wednesday night's game are being asked to wear white, as the men's basketball team issued a "White Out" notice for the game.
