Kisick Named AMCC Player of the Week

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona men's volleyball's sophomore setter Tommy Kisick (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) was selected the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week on Monday.

Kisick powered the Lions' offense to four 3-0 sweeps in the Misericordia University Cougar Kickoff Classic this past Saturday and Sunday. The sophomore was named the Classic's Most Valuable Player at the conclusion of the weekend's matches, and he was also selected to the All-Tournament team.

On Friday, Kisick posted 15 assists, four aces, two kills, and two digs in Penn State Altoona's win over the College of Saint Elizabeth before coming back with 21 assists, four digs, and three total blocks in a victory against host school Misericordia. On Saturday, he totaled 12 assists, one kill, and one ace in his team's win versus Neumann University before capping the weekend with 23 assists, four digs, two kills, and two total blocks in the Lions' triumph over Hiram College.

On the week, Kisick put up 71 assists (6.45 assists per set), 10 digs (0.91 digs per set), eight kills (0.73 kills per set), five aces (0.45 aces per set), and five total blocks (0.45 blocks per set).

This is Kisick's first career weekly award from the AMCC. He is a Management major at Penn State Altoona.

Men's volleyball's next match is its home opener this Wednesday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m. against Thiel College.
