Four Lions Named to AMCC Spring Sportsmanship Team

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released its Spring All-Sportsmanship team on Thursday afternoon, and it included a Penn State Altoona student-athlete from each of the Lions' four spring teams.

All teams that compete for an AMCC championship select one member from each of their rosters who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be included on the All-Sportsmanship team. These individuals are selected by a vote of their teammates.

The student-athlete selected by each team must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct, respect, and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor. Such sportsmanship shall be evident toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and fans. The player also must serve as a positive representative of school spirit when a spectator at other teams' sporting events.

The four Penn State Altoona spring sport student-athletes voted to the AMCC All-Sportsmanship team by their teammates are:

Men's Volleyball: junior Jared Kish (Columbus, OH/Hilliard Darby)

Men's Tennis: sophomore Casey Hess (Annville, PA/Annville-Cleona)

Softball: junior Aubrey Dotts (Houtzdale, PA/Moshannon Valley)

Baseball: freshman Luke Angstadt (Lancaster, PA/Cocalico)
