Men’s Volleyball Announces 2021 Schedule

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's volleyball team announced its 2021 schedule on Wednesday.

After last spring's schedule was cut short due to the spread of COVID-19, the Lions make their return to the court this spring in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference-only schedule. The team will compete in a total of seven regular season matches, including four at home in the Adler Arena.

The Lions start their 2021 schedule on the road Saturday, March 13, heading to Greenville, Pa. to face AMCC opponent Thiel College at 1:00 p.m. The team's next match is also on the road, as it will travel to Beaver Falls, Pa. to play conference foe Geneva College on Wednesday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m.

After that, Penn State Altoona will return to campus for a two-match homestand against AMCC opponents Hilbert College (Saturday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m.) and Hiram College (Wednesday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m.).

The Lions hit the road once again on Saturday, March 27, going to Buffalo to play conference foe Medaille College in a match starting at 3:00 p.m.

Penn State Altoona finishes its regular season with two straight home matches, hosting AMCC opponents Saint Vincent College (Wednesday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m.) and Penn State Behrend (Saturday, April 3 at 3:00 p.m.).

Should the Lions qualify for the postseason, the AMCC Tournament semifinal round will occur on Wednesday, April 7. The conference championship match is slated to happen on Saturday, April 10.

In accordance with AMCC COVID-19 protocols, spectators are not permitted for indoor sporting events.
