Thursday Softball Doubleheader Cancelled Due to Rain
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona softball team's home doubleheader with non-conference opponent Carnegie Mellon University, scheduled for today, Thursday, April 29, has been cancelled due to rain.
After getting some rain in the overnight hours, the Altoona area is expected to see much more precipitation today, including the possibility of thunderstorms during the afternoon. Due to this expectation of inclement weather, Thursday's games were cancelled.
Penn State Altoona softball returns to action this Saturday, May 1, when the Lions will travel to Hamburg, N.Y. to take on Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Hilbert College in a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m.
