Weather Forces Changes to Baseball, Softball Schedules

ALTOONA, Pa. – Continued winter weather conditions have forced the Penn State Altoona baseball and softball teams to make adjustments to their schedules this Wednesday.

Snow across the region early this week has caused unplayable field conditions, and because of this, the baseball and softball teams have made changes to their schedules.

Baseball:

The location and start time for Penn State Altoona baseball's road doubleheader at Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Mount Aloysius College, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 20, have both been changed.

Due to a significant accumulation of snow on the playing surface at Mount Aloysius' baseball facility, the doubleheader will now be played at Point Stadium in Johnstown. Additionally, the game one start time has been moved up to 12:00 p.m.

Softball:

The Stewart Athletic Field playing surface has also been made unplayable due to this week's snow, and the location and start time for Wednesday's home Penn State Altoona softball doubleheader against AMCC opponent Mount Aloysius have both been changed.

The doubleheader will now be held at Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg, and the game one start time has been shifted to 1:00 p.m.

Additionally, Penn State Altoona's previously-postponed doubleheader on the road against Pitt-Bradford has been rescheduled to next Friday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m.
