Bowling Starts First AMCC Round Robin Weekend

LATROBE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's bowling team opened its 2021-22 conference schedule on Saturday at Lincoln Lanes, where they competed in the first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Round Robin weekend of the season.

This weekend's event is split into two days of competition, with each team bowling baker matches decided by total pinfall each day.

By the conclusion of Saturday's round, Penn State Altoona held ninth place after suffering four losses and accumulating a total pinfall of 2,940. Medaille College was in first with 4,487 pins and a 5-0 record on the day, while La Roche University was second with 3,902 pins and a 4-1 record.

Penn State Altoona started the day with an 887-742 loss to Medaille, then followed that with a 782-718 defeat at the hands of La Roche. Mount Aloysius College dealt the Lions a 759-700 loss in the third match, and Penn State Altoona wrapped its day up by falling 909-780 to Saint Vincent College, the weekend's host.

The women's bowling team resumes competition in this weekend's AMCC Round Robin tomorrow, Sunday, November 21, with matches expected to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m.
