NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – The Penn State Altoona women's soccer team was well-represented in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's postseason awards, as six different Lions were announced as having been voted to the league's all-conference team on Wednesday morning.

Junior forward/midfielder Mallorie Smith (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte) was voted first team All-AMCC, senior defender Haley Chambers (Athens, PA/Athens) and senior forward/midfielder Sarah Huston (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville) were picked to the second team, and freshman defender Dee Dee Abbott (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick), freshman forward/midfielder Schenley Farrell (Philipsburg, PA/Philipsburg-Osceola), and senior defender/midfielder KK Wolfe (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville) received third team recognition.

Smith started all 18 games for Penn State Altoona this season. Among all AMCC players, she ranked third in shots on goal (39) and penalty kicks made (2), fourth in goals scored (11) and points (25), fifth in shots attempted (59), 10th in game-winning goals (1), 12th in assists (3), and 18th in shot percentage (.186). The junior posted two multi-goal performances this fall, both of which were hat tricks. Smith was also twice named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week.

This is Smith's first career selection to the first team of the All-AMCC squad. Last season, she was voted the conference's Newcomer of the Year while taking second team honors.

Chambers anchored the Lions' defense this season while starting 17 games. The senior was part of a unit that recorded six shutouts this fall, and she helped Penn State Altoona allow the second-fewest goals (26) of any team in the conference while compiling the second-best goals against average (1.44) mark in the league. Chambers also finished the season with one assist and three shots on goal.

This is Chambers' second appearance on an AMCC all-conference team, as she was also a second team selection last season.

Huston started all 18 games for the Lions this fall. In the AMCC, she ranked 15th in shots attempted (29), 17th in assists (2), 20th in shots on goal (13), 22nd in goals (3), and 23rd in points (8). The senior posted one multi-goal performance during the season.

This marks Huston's second selection to an All-AMCC squad, with her previous appearance coming as a second team pick last fall.

Abbott started all 18 games for Penn State Altoona while contributing at both ends of the field during her freshman season. Offensively, she ranked third in the conference in assists (6), 10th in game-winning goals (1), 23rd in points (8), and 30th shots attempted (18). Defensively, she helped the Lions finish with the second-best ranks for goals allowed (26) and goals against average (1.44) of any team in the conference, while the team totaled six shutouts. Abbott was also awarded the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week honor one time during the season.

Farrell played in all 18 games for the Lions as a freshman, including making 16 starts. In the conference, she ranked seventh in shot percentage (.278), 10th in game-winning goals (1), 13th in points (12), 14th in goals scored (5), 17th in assists (2), and 30th in shots attempted (18).

Wolfe played in all 18 games in her senior campaign, making 17 starts. She made her presence felt both on the attack and defensively. Among all AMCC players, Wolfe ranked 20th in shots on goal (13) and shots attempted (27) while scoring one goal and adding an assist. She was also part of a Penn State Altoona defense that helped the team achieve six shutouts and finish with the second-best goals against average (1.44) and total goals against (26) figures in the AMCC.

This is Wolfe's second All-AMCC selection in her career, as she was also a third team pick last fall.

Penn State Altoona women's soccer posted a 6-7-5 overall record this fall, including a 3-2-2 mark in the AMCC that put the team in fourth place in the league's regular season standings. The Lions reached the semifinal round of the AMCC postseason tournament.
