Women’s Soccer Stumbles at Behrend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's soccer team suffered a 9-0 loss to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon.

Behrend (9-4-1, 6-0-1 AMCC) scored five first-half goals, then tacked four more on to its total during the second half. Seven different players scored for the home team, led by two goals apiece from Arina Dillinger and Rachel Sickeri.

Nicole Schwartz (Clifton, NJ/Passaic County Technical Institute) got the start at goalkeeper for Penn State Altoona (2-9-2, 2-3-1 AMCC) and made three saves while playing 57:12. Adeline Baustert (Apollo, PA/Apollo-Ridge) entered in relief and recorded a pair of saves in 32:48 of action.

Penn State Altoona women's soccer returns home for its next game, when the Lions will host first-year AMCC opponent Carlow University on Wednesday, October 18 at 4 p.m.
