Men’s, Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes Named to Academic All-District Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – A total of six student-athletes from the Penn State Altoona men's and women's soccer teams were recognized for their academic successes on Tuesday afternoon, when the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization announced its Academic All-District soccer teams.

To be eligible for a spot on an Academic All-District team, student-athletes must meet certain academic and athletic requirements. Academically, student-athletes must be at least sophomores while holding cumulative grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher. Athletically, players must be starters or key reserves who have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games, or started 75 percent of the games. Nominators could submit up to six qualified student-athletes per team.

One Penn State Altoona men's soccer student-athlete and five women's soccer student-athletes were named to the CSC's NCAA Division III Academic All-District teams.

Men's Soccer:

-junior defender/midfielder Bailey Musselman (Altoona, PA/Altoona); majoring in Accounting

Women's Soccer:

-junior defender Hannah Brubaker (San Diego, CA/Scripps Ranch); majoring in Kinesiology

-sophomore forward/midfielder Schenley Farrell (Philipsburg, PA/Philipsburg-Osceola); majoring in Kinesiology

-junior defender/midfielder Amanda Hazel (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield); majoring in Kinesiology

-senior forward Camryn Kurilla (Mount Wolf, PA/Northeastern); majoring in Human Development and Family Studies

-senior forward Mallorie Smith (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte); majoring in Biology
