Holl Receives AMCC Swimmer of the Week Honors

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – Penn State Altoona freshman McKenna Holl (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Women's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.

Holl had two individual first place finishes and was also part of a relay first place during the Penn State Altoona women's swimming team's 124-47 win over AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford on Friday night at home.

Holl picked up her first win of Friday's meet in the 100 Yard IM, recording a time of 1:10.05. She later came in first place in the 100 Yard Backstroke by clocking in at 1:09.08. The freshman was also part of the group that took first in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a combined time of 2:09.53.

This is Holl's first AMCC Swimmer of the Week award of her collegiate career.

The Penn State Altoona women's swimming team has its next event on the road this Saturday, January 29, when the Lions will compete in a tri-meet at Elizabethtown College against Elizabethtown and Juniata College. The start time for that meet is 1:00 p.m.
