Batrus Picks Up Third AMCC Player of the Week Award
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – For the third time this season, Penn State Altoona junior libero Anna Batrus (Altoona, PA/Altoona) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, when the league announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon.
Batrus kept racking up digs for the Lions in a 1-1 week of play for her team.

In last Tuesday night's 3-1 loss at non-conference opponent Lycoming College, Batrus totaled a team-high 26 digs. The junior helped the Lions to a 3-0 victory at home over non-conference foe Penn College on Friday evening, finishing with a match-high 18 digs.
On the week, Batrus recorded 44 digs, averaging 6.29 digs per set. Among all AMCC players, she currently ranks second in total digs (225) and digs per set (5.49).
This is Batrus' third AMCC Defensive Player of the Week recognition of her season and career.
Penn State Altoona women's volleyball is 4-7 this season and returns to action this Saturday, September 30 in a tri-match at Stevenson University. That day, the Lions will face non-conference opponents Penn State Berks and Stevenson at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
