ALTOONA, Pa. – Schedule changes were announced on Monday morning for four different Penn State Altoona teams, due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions.

With the region sustaining significant rain Sunday into Monday, and with the expectation of much more inclement weather coming over the remainder of the week, changes have been made to several Penn State Altoona varsity sporting events.

Softball:

• Penn State Altoona softball's home doubleheader against USCAA opponent Penn State Schuylkill, scheduled for today, Monday, April 1, has been postponed due to rain. A makeup date for the games is to be determined.
• The Lions' road doubleheader at AMCC opponent La Roche University, scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, has been postponed and rescheduled to Friday, April 5, due to weather. Game one start time is 3 p.m.

Baseball:

• The baseball team's home doubleheader versus Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent La Roche, which was scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 2, has been postponed due to rain and field conditions. The games will be made up next Tuesday, April 9, at 1 p.m.
• Baseball's previously postponed home doubleheader against AMCC foe Wells College, which was originally to occur this past Saturday, March 30, has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 28, at 1 p.m.
• Penn State Altoona's road doubleheader at non-conference opponent Penn College, originally set for Tuesday, April 9, has been pushed to Wednesday, April 10, at 1 p.m.
• The Lions' road game at non-conference opponent Juniata College, originally scheduled for Thursday, April 11, will be postponed and rescheduled to another date.

Men's Tennis:

Rain and cold temperatures this week have led to the Penn State Altoona men's tennis team making changes to three of its matches this week:

• The Lions' road match at non-conference foe Hood College, scheduled for today, Monday, April 1, has been postponed. A makeup date has not yet been discussed.
• Meanwhile, Penn State Altoona's home matches against non-conference opponents Westminster College (Tuesday, April 2) and Waynesburg University (Thursday, April 4) will be played indoors at The Summit Tennis and Athletic Club in Altoona. The start time for both matches will be 3:30 p.m.

Men's Golf:

• Snow, cold temperatures, and wet course conditions have led to the postponement of the Grove City MBA Invitational this Thursday, April 4. The event, which will include Penn State Altoona's junior-varsity squad, has been rescheduled to next Thursday, April 11, at 1 p.m.
